This replacement seal is for our petrol generator model numbers: SPG5500 and SPG6500.
Your SGS generators engine case/alternator seal may need replacing for one of the following reasons:
1. The oil pressure is too much. This is caused by over filling the oil into the engine.
2. The seal has been damaged during use.
3. The rubber inside the seal has gone over time. This tends to happen when generators are fairly old, and/or have oil that has been kept inside it for a long time.
